We have further strengthened the way we monitor patients under anaesthesia. Heart rate, breathing, temperature, circulation and depth of anaesthesia are now watched closely throughout every procedure, and a dedicated team member keeps their attention on the patient rather than on a single task.
Anaesthesia is one of the parts of surgical care that clients worry about most, and rightly so. A patient who is asleep cannot tell us how they feel, so we rely on careful measurement to make sure they stay safe, warm and as light under anaesthesia as is comfortable. Closer monitoring means we notice small changes early and can respond before they become problems.

We assess your pet’s general health and, where appropriate, run blood tests to confirm they are safe for anaesthesia. This is when we choose a protocol suited to their age, weight and condition.
One team member monitors vital signs continuously while the surgeon works. Anaesthesia is adjusted moment by moment to keep your pet stable and comfortable.
We take care to keep patients warm and well hydrated throughout, since both make a real difference to how smoothly recovery goes.
Patients wake in a calm, quiet recovery area with pain relief already on board, supervised until they are fully stable.
Safe anaesthesia and good pain management go hand in hand. We plan pain relief before, during and after surgery, so that your pet is comfortable as they wake and through the days that follow. Managing pain well is not only kinder — it also helps animals rest, eat and heal properly.
We will always explain what to expect: how your pet may behave when they come home, what medication to give and when, and the warning signs that mean you should call us. You will never be left guessing.

Surgery is never routine to the family waiting at home, and we do not treat it that way. We will always tell you honestly whether a procedure is necessary, what the risks are and what the alternatives might be. You will never be rushed into surgery you do not understand.
This investment in monitoring reflects a simple belief: the same care that goes into the operation should go into everything around it. As the clinic grows, we will keep raising that standard.
